When it comes to starting a functional nutrition plan, one of the most common questions I get is: “How do we build a 60- to 90-day protocol?” It’s a great question, and I want to explain why this timeframe is so important and how we approach it.

The 90-Day Approach

Once we’ve completed your nutrition assessment, we’ll use the results to create a personalized protocol tailored to your specific needs. The reason we recommend a 90-day timeframe is that it allows us to give your body the time it needs to respond to the changes.

Here’s why:

  • It typically takes about 30 days for the supplements to build up in your system.
  • From there, it takes another 60 days to determine if the protocol is truly working for you.
  • On average, tissues take 6 to 8 weeks to start the healing process, which is why patience is so crucial in this journey.

By committing to the full 90 days, we’re giving your body the best chance to absorb, adapt, and respond to the protocol.

What Happens After 90 Days?

At the end of the 90-day period, we’ll take another look at your progress. If we’re seeing the results we expected, we may continue with the protocol or make slight adjustments. If we’re not seeing the changes we want, we’ll shift gears and try a different approach.

With a variety of protocols available, we can pivot as needed to ensure you’re on the best path forward. Functional nutrition is all about personalization, and your progress helps guide the next steps.
